Digital supply chain transformation company Blue Yonder has agreed to acquire intelligent control towers provider One Network Enterprises in a deal worth nearly $839m.

Based in the US, One Network Enterprises offers a multi-party network, dubbed Digital Supply Chain Network.

The platform allows an infinite number of trading partners to strategise, execute, monitor, synchronise, and streamline all business processes and events that take place throughout their extended supply chains in real time.

One Network Enterprises chairman and founder Greg Brady said: “This is the next step to creating a resilient and collaborative supply chain.

“Blue Yonder offers the most complete portfolio in the industry, spanning from planning to execution. Coupled with our network and multi-enterprise, multi-tier platform, we’re poised to form a backbone of this new supply chain of the future.”

According to Blue Yonder, the acquisition of One Network Enterprises will allow it to better serve the requirements of customers across planning, execution, commerce, and networks.

The transaction will also bring together One Network Enterprises’ Digital Supply Chain Network and Blue Yonder’s supply chain capabilities.

This is expected to deliver real-time, multi-enterprise optimisation, orchestration, and collaboration both inside and outside an organisation, spanning across multi-tiers from clients to carriers to suppliers to the suppliers’ suppliers, said Blue Yonder.

The combined entity will allow clients to shift from the order planning phase to the fulfillment phase. It will reduce the time gap that takes place from entering the order to initiating the physical fulfillment.

Besides, the enlarged company will deliver real-time visibility across the supply chain and merge disparate data silos.

Furthermore, carriers and suppliers will utilise the services tailored for their requirements.

It includes telematics tracking and predictive insights, advanced shipment scheduling management, real-time visibility to on-time delivery trends, and the ability to manage by exception.

Blue Yonder CEO Duncan Angove said: “Combined with One Network’s capabilities, Blue Yonder will establish itself as a leading supply chain solutions company that can offer a unified, end-to-end supply chain ecosystem that is resilient enough to withstand today’s challenges, and synthesised with innovative, future-focused technologies.”

Subject to customary conditions, including necessary regulatory approvals, the deal is anticipated to be completed in Q2 or Q3 of this year.
