Nokia’s private wireless Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) solution will be leveraged by Tech Mahindra for customers across industries, as part of the collaboration

Indian IT services company Tech Mahindra has partnered with Finnish telecommunications company Nokia to boost 5G private wireless adoption globally.

As part of the partnership, Nokia’s private wireless Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) solution will be leveraged by Tech Mahindra for customers across industries and for enabling the automation of 5G Private Wireless network management on a cloud.

Nokia DAC is said to provide a secure and high-performance private wireless network that is scalable based on the requirements.

The industrial-grade digital automation service platform is designed to provide edge computing capabilities, low latency 4.9G/LTE and 5G connectivity and a suite of applications for enterprises.

Tech Mahindra 5G and network services business global head Manish Mangal said: “5G adoption has become critical for enterprises to achieve the next level of industrial automation and digital transformation that enable higher level of productivity and reduce operational complexity and costs.

Tech Mahindra claims to have expertise in offering specialised services to customers, 5G enterprise solutions capabilities, such as Factory.NXT, and Mining.NXT.

It also has expertise in planning, designing, deployment and management of private wireless networks for enterprises.

The company expects that its capabilities, combined with Nokia DAC, will benefit enterprise customers and speed up adoption of 5G across the globe.

The collaboration is expected to enable end-to-end IT/OT transformation for various industries, including manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, oil & gas, and smart agriculture.

In October last year, Arm partnered with Tech Mahindra to launch a new lab to facilitate a live test environment for 5G solutions.
