Accenture has announced the acquisition of Australia-based digital design company Bourne Digital for an undisclosed price.

Established in 2015, Bourne Digital is focused on the SAP ecosystem.

It specialises in the SAP business technology platform and develops experience-driven applications for simplifying workflows and introducing automation.

The digital design company creates design-led digital products and experiences for enterprise customers. These include custom portal and web solutions, as well as mobile applications.

It supports customers to implement their technology strategy through an approach that integrates design and architectural thinking.

Bourne Digital CEO Selim Ahmed said: “Joining forces with Accenture gives us the opportunity to scale to meet the emerging needs of SAP customers and address the increasing demand for SAP Business Technology Platform services globally.

“It will provide our experienced professionals — with their design DNA and deep SAP skills — with new development opportunities and career growth while helping Accenture further strengthen its leadership position in Australia.”

Through the acquisition of Bourne Digital, Accenture expects to improve its SAP offerings in the market, specifically in financial services, consumer goods, resources, health, and travel industries.

The 66 employees of the firm will join the Accenture SAP business Group in Australia.

Bourne Digital is expected to strengthen Accenture’s capability to offer a user-led approach to design, architecture and delivery.

Besides, Accenture aims to drive process excellence using SAP cloud technologies.
