Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently revealed all about his plans for the Model 3, and his solar roof tiles during this week’s shareholder meeting.

Anyone vaguely familiar with Elon Musk knows that he’s usually juggling tons of ideas at the same time.

If it’s not AI that can be sewn into the brain, then it’s how to protect the earth from robots.

Additionally, Musk has talked about our present reality. He posits that advanced humans in the far future have created a simulation that we current humans live in.

Basically, we’re a bunch of Sims characters.

However, there’s more.

Musk is also keen about space travel. In fact, his company SpaceX designs and launches rockets to explore the final frontier, and even allow humans to live on Mars.

Yet, that’s not nearly all.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk fights for humanity

The future of humankind seems to be a major theme of his.

Part of our earthly experience is dealing with the trials and tyranny of traffic.

Thus, Musk is also into tunnelling.

His recent firm on this matter, The Boring Company, is nothing to snore at.

Its ultimate goal is to dig a network of tunnels that will carry cars and commuters to their final destination. So far, it’s carrying out tests in LA.

Currently, Musk is keeping shareholders up to speed on two of his other projects: the Model 3, and solar panels.

The Model 3 is the most recent of electronic cars to come out of Tesla. The firm has been developing an internal vision chip that uses sensors for autonomous steering. The journey has been hard.

In 2016 it stopped dealing with Mobileye, its first vision chip provider, due to a fatal crash that killed a Tesla driver while a vehicle was in Autopilot.

However, progress is ongoing as the system is, “almost there”.

The CEO also talked about the release of Tesla’s solar roof tiles.

He was eager to point out that the location of a user’s home would influence the final price of the tiles, as taxes vary between regions.

Yet, he also made clear that his solar panels would be more affordable that traditional ones.
