Oracle and American big data analytics provider Palantir Technologies have partnered to offer secure cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to support businesses and governments across the globe.

The collaboration will facilitate institutions to optimise the value of their data by combining Oracle’s distributed cloud and AI infrastructure and Palantir Technologies’ AI and decision acceleration platforms.

It is expected to help organisations boost efficiency, meet sovereignty requirements and outperform adversaries.

Palantir Technologies executive vice-president Josh Harris said: “Palantir and Oracle are both dedicated to defending Western interests and institutions around the world.

“Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s unique ability to help customers meet their regulatory, performance, and security needs will increase our impact and help our global clients gain the full benefits of cloud and AI.”

As part of the alliance, the big data analytics company will migrate Foundry workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Besides, Palantir Technologies’ Gotham and AI platforms will be deployable across Oracle’s cloud network.

Oracle’s distributed cloud includes public cloud regions, Oracle’s air-gapped regions for defence and intelligence clients, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Dedicated Regions, Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud, Oracle Government Cloud, Oracle Alloy, and Oracle Roving Edge.

According to Oracle, its cloud footprint and sovereign AI capabilities will enable more institutions to leverage Palantir Technologies’ platforms for data integration and decision-making.

The partnership will allow organisations to access the best cloud applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI along with achieving the highest sovereignty and security standards, said Oracle.

Oracle vice president Rand Waldron said: “Oracle is the only hyperscaler capable of delivering its entire AI and cloud suite to any business or government anywhere in the world.

“By combining the performance, scalability, and flexibility of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Palantir’s leading data and AI platforms, we will help our customers win in any industry or environment.”

Oracle and Palantir Technologies aim to jointly sell and support cloud and AI services across government and commercial sectors. Both parties also intend to bring robust new capabilities to the defence industry.
