Intel has introduced a portfolio of next-gen artificial intelligence (AI) products to provide clients with AI solutions everywhere across cloud, network, data centre, edge and PC.

The announcement comes at Intel’s AI Everywhere 2023 held in New York City, US.

Intel has introduced the Intel Core Ultra mobile processor family to offer customers a power-efficient processor.

According to the company, the mobile processor family is the first built on Intel’s 4 process technology and the first to utilise the technology major’s largest architectural shift in four decades.

The Intel Core Ultra launches the AI PC generation with innovation on all fronts, including CPU compute, battery life, graphics, power and profound new AI features.

Intel said that over the next year, Core Ultra will bring AI to over 230 designs from laptop and PC makers across the globe.

The technology company also launched the fifth-gen Intel Xeon processor family, which is built with AI acceleration in every core. The new Xeon brings significant improvements in AI and overall performance and reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).

Xeon’s built-in AI accelerators, along with optimised software and enhanced telemetry capabilities, enable more manageable and efficient deployments of the network.

It also facilitates better edge workloads for communication service providers, content delivery networks and broad vertical markets like retail, healthcare and manufacturing.

The new products are expected to bring AI computing power to where the data is generated and utilised.

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said: “Intel is on a mission to bring AI everywhere through exceptionally engineered platforms, secure solutions and support for open ecosystems.

“Our AI portfolio gets even stronger with today’s launch of Intel Core Ultra ushering in the age of the AI PC and AI-accelerated 5th Gen Xeon for the enterprise.”
