IBM and SAP are joining forces to help clients shift mission-critical workloads from SAP solutions to the cloud for regulated and non-regulated industries.
The two firms will offer clients their technology and consulting expertise to make it easier in taking up a hybrid cloud approach.
IBM has launched the premium supplier option with IBM for RISE with SAP. Using this, clients get the tools to help speed up the migration of their on-premises SAP software workloads to IBM Cloud in a secured manner.
IBM Consulting senior vice president John Granger said: “We are thrilled to advance our long-standing partnership through RISE with SAP. Our shared commitment is to meet our clients, especially those in highly regulated industries, where they are in their digital journey, while giving them choices for migrating or modernising their mission-critical workloads with a hybrid cloud approach.”
Additionally, IBM has unveiled a new programme called Breakthrough with IBM for RISE with SAP, which is a portfolio of solutions and consulting services. Breakthrough with IBM for RISE with SAP has been designed to expedite and amplify the journey of clients to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
Said to have been developed on a flexible and scalable platform, the solutions and services offered through Breakthrough with IBM for RISE with SAP use intelligent workflows to optimise operations. They offer an engagement model to help in planning, executing, and supporting comprehensive business transformation.
Besides, clients are given the flexibility and choice to move SAP solution workloads to the public cloud with the backing of deep industry expertise.

In June lat year, SAP announced a partnership expansion with Google Cloud to help customers fast track their move to the cloud and business process migrations.
