American-Israeli software firm Check Point Software Technologies has partnered with the Israeli software developer firm Be Broadband Technologies (BBT.Live) to enhance the secure network solutions for service providers globally.

As part of the partnership, BBT.Live’s software is said to be integrated with the Check Point Quantum IoT Protect nano agent, enhancing the security of BBT.Live’s communications-related components.

Check Point Software R&D director Miri Ofir said: “The broad distribution of IoT devices in enterprises enables cyber attackers to use them as a gateway to the corporate network, including routers and communications devices.

“We are currently seeing a widespread malware named ZuoRAT that is infecting routers, usually found in small organizations, branches and homes. It is estimated that thousands of organizations have been affected by this attack.

“The Nano Agent that we embed in IoT devices identifies and blocks attempted attacks in real time and provides complete protection against Zero-Day vulnerabilities.”

The nano agent technology provided by Check Point is said to be an embedded runtime protection solution that offers built-in security against cyber-attacks, including shell injection, import table hijacking, access control, memory corruption, and control flow hijacking.

It keeps track of a device’s activity, searches for anomalies that could be signs of sophisticated cyber-attacks, and blocks them in real-time.

BBT.Live offers the service providers an all-inclusive network communications solution to deliver cloud-based, broadband connectivity packages to clients spread across various offices, branches and remote home offices.

The network connectivity of BBT.Live is said to work seamlessly with any hardware or cloud environment.

The system’s ease of use and simplicity is anticipated to enable service providers to offer customer service while significantly lowering the costs of their IT and technical teams.

BBT.Live founder and CEO Moshe Levinson said: “Partnering with Check Point Software brings us great pride and is a vote of confidence in the product that we have developed.

“There is no match to Check Point’s capabilities in the field of cybersecurity and we are delighted for its assistance in delivering a complete and secure product to our customers.”
