Automation Anywhere, a US-based robotic process automation (RPA) company, has agreed to acquire FortressIQ, a process discovery and mining company, for an undisclosed price.
Based in California, FortressIQ is said to enable enterprises to decode work with its process intelligence platform. By acquiring process data automatically and continuously and at scale across the entire enterprise, the platform helps firms to understand and track current state processes, and make better and faster improvements in processes.
The company by employing computer vision and artificial intelligence is claimed to deliver high visibility with detail and accuracy. The deep insights generated by its platform help businesses streamline processes, fine-tune operations, and boost the employee experience.
Established in 2017, FortressIQ is backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Comcast Ventures, and Boldstart Ventures among others.

Through the addition of FortressIQ, Automation Anywhere expects to help organisations to expedite their initiatives in automation, while transforming in a digital-first world.
Furthermore, Automation Anywhere said the deal will allow it to push its artificial intelligence (AI) powered, cloud-native Automation 360 platform forward with process discovery, intelligence, and optimisation that is scalable to all systems or applications across various verticals.
The new capabilities are said to provide built-in intelligence that offers quick, accurate visibility on which processes can and have to be automated.
