Elon Musk is a powerful entrepreneur, with a few billion in the bank. Yes, we’ve investigated his net worth and it’s pretty astounding. However Musk has had his share of set-backs and failed dreams. This is the famous Elon Musk CV.
Of course he doesn’t need to be handing out his CV, but this is what it would look like if he did.
Elon Musk CV: Aim high, then go higher still
Musk is famous for having insanely high standards. He once described himself as a nano-manager – a leader even more controlling than a micro-manager. Musk said: “I have OCD on product-related issues. I only see what’s wrong. I never see what’s right. It’s not a recipe for happiness.” Yet his CV isn’t as over-achieving as you might expect it to be.
From being ousted from his own company twice, to having both Tesla and SpaceX on the brink of bankruptcy, these are the failures and near-misses of Musk.
Oh and Musk even went for a job and didn’t get through the interview. Yep, he is more like us mere mortals that you thought.
Has Elon Musk’s personal life altered his résumé?
The 45-year-old has also managed to juggle all of his failures and massive achievements (it’s a long résumé!) with a personal life. He is the father of five children (yes, you read that correctly) and he has a house, a girlfriend (actress Amber Heard), four dogs and a sports car. Pretty normal right?
Apart from the billions in the bank and the fact that his sports car is a McLaren F1 – a car that costs a casual $1.2 million, and is the fastest non-customised race car in the world. We’re envious of him too, don’t worry.
