Accenture has extended its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable clients to gain access to continued cloud innovations.

Under the renewed partnership, the two companies intend to make additional joint investments over the next five years.

The investment will see the delivery of solutions through the Accenture AWS Business Group (AABG), which was launched in 2015.

Combining the resources, technical capability and industry knowledge of Accenture and AWS, the AABG helps enterprises unlock innovation.

The new partnership, which builds on a 13-year relationship, will enable organisations to address the technology, human and business dimensions of cloud change at scale with enhanced speed.

Accenture Cloud First global lead Karthik Narain said: “On the Cloud Continuum, breakthrough innovations will continue at a rapid pace. Harnessing those innovations for competitive advantage will require a commitment to permanent reinvention.

“Together, we’re investing with AWS to help companies prioritise and invest in people transformation as much as tech transformation, which yields an average of 60% higher cloud return on investment.”

The joint investment is expected to add resources for Accenture Cloud First, a multi-service group offering the full stack of cloud services.

Accenture is expected to develop a range of new accelerators in the coming five years, addressing the challenges faced in cloud migrations.

The expanded partnership is also aimed at accelerating the adoption of AWS innovations by up to 50% faster.

Accenture will also invest in data-driven solutions for talent development and organizational change for the realisation of cloud value.

AWS sales and marketing senior vice president Matt Garman said: “We’ve learned through experience that our customers’ success often hinges on two key factors: speed and the ability to adopt new ways of working.

“Our investment to create reusable accelerators and mechanisms with Accenture is intended to make cloud transformation and change programs easier and more predictable — so customers can continuously innovate and lead their industries.”

The extended partnership is expected to enable clients to gain access to the AABG joint portfolio of 175 assets and 20,000 cloud specialists.

Accenture and AWS claim to have co-created nearly 40 solutions for 16 industries, enhancing client value with proven use-case relevance.
