Zoom Video Communications has announced new innovations and features for its video conferencing platform, which include Zoom IQ for Sales and Zoom Events, to help businesses enhance the experiences of customers and employees for the new ‘work anywhere’ workforce.

Zoom IQ for Sales serves as a conversation intelligence solution for sales professionals. It will be an add-on for Zoom Meetings to turn customer interactions into meaningful and actionable insights.

The new innovation is expected to help teams across sales, marketing, and competitive intelligence in improving crucial interactions with customers.

Zoom IQ for Sales is currently available as an add-on for customers of Zoom Meetings with support to come shortly for Zoom Phone.

The new innovation is said to be the first iteration of the conversation intelligence technology of the company under the Zoom IQ umbrella.

Zoom Events has been built as an all-in-one platform to enable brands in creating virtual and hybrid experiences.

The company has launched a new feature called backstage. The feature is said to let speakers, panelists, and production crews stay behind the scenes while watching the live webinar feed, chat with one another, answer questions of attendees, as well as practice their presentations.

Zoom chief product officer Oded Gal said: “Every interaction counts in a video-first world – whether it’s a call with a customer service agent, a video meeting with the sales team, or a hybrid event with customers and prospects. World-class customer engagement is where competitive differentiation happens.

“Following our recent launch of Zoom Contact Center, Zoom IQ for Sales, and our latest Zoom Events innovations mark further steps in Zoom’s journey to establish new heights for customer experiences and flexible collaboration across the workforce.”

Zoom has also introduced two more innovations for Zoom Webinar, which let anyone wanting to present information to a large online audience coming from any part of the world on any device.

One of the innovations is ‘Webinar reactions’ to allow attendees of webinars to use reactions. These are shown in the bottom-right corner of the main webinar window, which can be seen by the host, panelists, and attendees.

With another innovation called ‘Webinar session branding’, hosts can change the appearance of the in-webinar experience by having a wallpaper behind the video tiles. This will let them set a common virtual background for all panelists, and give name tags for all the panelists.
