Kyndryl, a US-based IT infrastructure services provider, has entered into a global partnership with Google Cloud to fast-track the digital transformations of businesses and enable them to become more advanced, data-driven, and sustainable.

The partners are expected to apply their expertise across data and analytics, infrastructure modernisation, and applied artificial intelligence (AI) to provide new insights and drive business outcomes for customers.

For facilitating the results for customers, the two partners will jointly prioritise and focus on projects involving the digital transformation.

Kyndryl CEO and chairman Martin Schroeter said: “We’re excited to partner with Google Cloud and look forward to working together to help customers accelerate their ambitious digital business transformation plans.

“Through this strategic partnership, Kyndryl and Google Cloud will enable businesses to operate more efficiently, embrace the benefits of cloud and augment their operations with advanced data, analytics, and AI technology.”

Additionally, Kyndryl’s managed services for Google Cloud are expected to help customers have their most critical business systems run on the latter’s global and sustainable infrastructure. At the same time, customers can deliver applications and data throughout their entire footprint, starting from headquarters to the network edge, in a seamless manner, said Google Cloud.

Kyndryl will also set up a “Google Cloud Academy for Kyndryl”, which will be engaged in building capabilities to speed up the migration of mission-critical workloads onto Google Cloud.

For furthering their partnership, Kyndryl and Google Cloud will focus on key solution areas such as data, analytics and AI, SAP on Google Cloud, enterprise edge, and industry solutions for financial services.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said: “The partnership between Google Cloud and Kyndryl represents a significant step forward as global enterprises seek to digitally transform their organisations.

“Bringing together Google Cloud’s global infrastructure and leading technology in AI, machine learning, and analytics with the world’s largest provider of managed services and IT services will accelerate global businesses’ ability to launch new, digital businesses and deliver their most critical workloads in a cloud environment.”

Last month, Kyndryl forged a partnership with Microsoft to expedite digital transformation across industries.
