Uber for X: JetSmarter is pitched as an "Uber for private jets"

Private jets are no longer just for high rollers, CEOs and HNW. Thanks to JetSmarter, social media-powered air travel is now an option.

Hailed as the Uber for jets – JetSmarter is filling in the gap most of us didn’t even realise we needed. It’s joining apps such as Uber and Deliveroo in providing a fast and efficient service without us needing to move an inch. The app makes it easy for business and leisure travellers to book private jets via the JetShuttle service. Therefore, making jet travel more readily available.

Travel smarter

Created in 2013 by Sergey Petrossov, the app is ideal for frequent flyers with a desire for luxury. Giving passengers who value comfort, lavishness and privacy a great new option. The private jets offer over 150 routes including domestic and international trips. With destinations such as New York, Dubai, Zurich, London and more all at your fingertips. In short, passengers can go from booking to airborne in as little as 15 minutes.

Only a click away, members have the option to reserve seats on more than 50 routes across the three continents – United States, Europe and the Middle East and can create on-demand private charter flights to anywhere in the world. Some of the other app features include the option to book luxury lifestyle benefits or network with other members.

The three services available include:

  • Private charters – which gives the passenger total privacy onboard.
  • Shared charters, similar to Uber pool, it allows passengers to share a jet with other people going to the same destination (most flights have an average of eight to ten passengers)
  • JetShuttle where members can book onto scheduled routes two or more months in advance and travel with corporate people who have similar interests.

Great for efficiency – JetSmarter does what it says on the box and has been designed with business customers in mind. This makes it simple to book and arrive at their destination hassle-free and in style.

This new start-up has backing from some big names, from the Saudi royal family to hip-hop icon and entrepreneur Jay-Z.
