Indian digital services and consulting company Infosys has announced an extension of its partnership with Microsoft to help expedite enterprise cloud transformation journeys globally.

The companies expect the collaboration to significantly benefit enterprises from the combination of Infosys Cobalt cloud offerings and Microsoft’s cloud computing technologies which is led by Azure, across the business value chain.

Through the expansion of the partnership, Infosys expects to add its Cobalt solutions to Microsoft’s industry clouds, enabling businesses to develop agile cloud-powered platforms and innovate at scale.

Infosys stated that the parties’ combined expertise in enterprise solutions, data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), application modernisation, digital workplace solutions, low-code, no-code power platforms and cybersecurity will lay a solid basis for cloud-powered transformation.

Microsoft India president Anant Maheshwari said: “This engagement with Infosys extends our trusted relationship over the past two decades and will accelerate the innovation and transformation journeys of businesses worldwide.

“As we continue to shape the future of the industry cloud, we are pleased to bring together our complementary strengths and serve our strategic customers better through Microsoft Azure-powered solutions with Infosys Cobalt.”

Microsoft is said to be leveraging Infosys’ expertise to deliver the support experience for its products.

The extended collaboration is also expected to enhance employee experience and overall productivity.

Microsoft technologies along with the Cobalt solutions are providing hyper-personalised and deeply humanised experiences to more than 300,000 Infosys employees, which is enabled via an experiential app.

The app is available across devices and serves as a hub for information and actions, stated Infosys.

On the one hand, Infosys plays a pivotal role in accelerating Microsoft’s transformation with digital services.

Microsoft and Infosys also work closely to bring to enterprises, the world over, the value of Infosys Cobalt cloud solutions, and accelerate time-to-value for Microsoft enterprises business solutions.

“This extended collaboration will serve to harvest most value from all aspects of our well-rounded alliance.”

In July 2022, Infosys agreed to acquire BASE life science, a Danish technology and consulting firm in the life sciences industry in Europe, for a price of up to €110m.
