Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled a series of new cloud services for the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to help customers power digital transformation for their applications and data.

The new cloud services include HPE GreenLake for analytics, HPE GreenLake for data protection, and HPE Edge-to-Cloud Adoption Framework and automation tools.

The enterprise IT company said that the introduction of the new services marks its foray into the high-growth software markets of data protection and unified analytics.

HPE said that the innovations will further expedite the company’s shift to become a cloud services company.

At the same time, the new cloud services are said to offer customers increased choice for their business and IT strategy with an open and modern platform that offers a cloud experience everywhere.

HPE further stated that the new cloud offerings enable customers in innovating with agility, at reduced costs.

According to the company, the HPE GreenLake for analytics service offers open and unified analytics cloud services for modernising all data and applications everywhere, including on-premises, at the edge, as well as in the cloud.

The HPE GreenLake for data protection offering includes disaster recovery and backup cloud services which assist customers in tackling ransomware, while securing data from edge-to-cloud.

On the other hand, HPE Edge-to-Cloud Adoption Framework and automation tools offer a set of methodologies expertise and automation tools for fast-tracking and de-risking the path to a cloud experience everywhere.

HPE president and CEO Antonio Neri said: “Data is at the heart of every modernization initiative in every industry, and yet organisations have been forced to settle for legacy analytics platforms that lack cloud-native capabilities, or force complex migrations to the public cloud that require customers to adapt new processes and risk vendor lock-in.

“The new HPE GreenLake cloud services for analytics empower customers to overcome these trade-offs and gives them one platform to unify and modernise data everywhere. Together with the new HPE GreenLake cloud services for data protection, HPE provides customers with an unparalleled platform to protect, secure, and capitalize on the full value of their data, from edge to cloud.”

Earlier this year, HPE had rolled out multiple innovation updates to the HPE GreenLake cloud services portfolio to drive hybrid cloud disruption.
