Indian IT company HCLTech and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership with new capabilities and service offerings to accelerate digital transformation for enterprises through the migration to Google Cloud.

Through the expanded partnership, HCLTech is expected to considerably scale its capacity for supporting digital transformation and provide legacy system modernisations, critical migration, and professional services for enterprise customers.

HCLTech CEO and managing director C Vijayakumar said: “The majority of enterprises today are investing aggressively in cloud technology to build responsive, scalable and resilient digital-first business models.

“Our collaboration with Google Cloud has helped us address this market with compelling joint propositions. I am excited to see this partnership further expand to offer accelerated solutions for our enterprise clients to significantly scale their digital transformation enabled by cloud.”

The expanded partnership will enable new offerings, namely Google Cloud Global Migration and Modernization Factory within HCLTech Google Cloud Ecosystem Unit to assist enterprise customers to shift to Google Cloud more quickly.

The two offerings will integrate unique IP, experts, automation tools, and migration frameworks to enable enterprises in migrating critical workloads into Google Cloud quickly, while also boosting their cybersecurity posture and guaranteeing compliance with evolving regulations.

As a part of the partnership, HCLTech will provide training to up to 18,000 consulting and technology professionals on Google Cloud to improve its ability significantly to accelerate digital transformations worldwide with Google Cloud products, infrastructure, and solutions.

Furthermore, HCLTech will adopt a Google Cloud-first strategy for projects involving data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) in market sectors like retail and consumer packaged goods (CPGs), healthcare and life sciences, and financial services.
