Singapore-based healthtech company Doctor Anywhere has raised S$88m ($65.7m) funding in a Series C round to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia.

Led by growth equity investor Asia Partners, the financing round saw participation from other investors, including Novo Holdings, Philips and OSK-SBI Venture Partners.

Singapore-based global investor EDBI, Square Peg, IHH Healthcare, Kamet Capital and Pavilion Capital are the existing investors who have taken part in the funding round.

With the latest funding, the digital health platform has taken its total capital raised to more than S$140m ($104.2m) since its founding.

Following its launch in 2017, Doctor Anywhere claims to have witnessed an exponential growth to serve more than 1.5 million users across Southeast Asia.

The company saw a 500% growth in the business since the start of 2020, as the adoption of telehealth services in the region intensified with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Doctor Anywhere founder and CEO Lim Wai Mun said: “DA’s mission is to be the largest tech-enabled omnichannel healthcare provider in Southeast Asia, and applying innovative technology to improving patient outcomes is core to our differentiated offerings.

“We are thrilled to attract the interest of a strong group of investors in this round, a significant milestone which is a testament to our vision and track record.”

With 2,800 doctors and medical professionals within its network, Doctor Anywhere claims to have built a strong ecosystem of payers, providers, and patients across its core markets.

Currently, the platform is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

The latest funding is expected to enable the company to further deepen its presence in its existing markets.

In addition, it will allow Doctor Anywhere to expand into new markets.

Recently, the company announced the establishment of regional tech hubs in Bangalore, India, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Doctor Anywhere is also expanding its core product development and engineering functions in the Singapore headquarters.
