Samsung Electronics America has partnered with US-based digital health company GetWellNetwork to enhance a patient’s in-room healthcare experience.
As part of the collaboration, GetWellNetwork’s technology for patient engagement, patient education, and operational improvement capabilities will be integrated with Samsung healthcare-grade smart HTVs.
Samsung stated that the integration of technology will change how hospitals and healthcare facilities operate.
The GetWellNetwork platform solution is said to provide key information to patients through their in-room televisions, enabling them to self-manage and equip hospital staff with the insights required to provide personalised care.
Apart from providing cable and entertainment services, Samsung HTVs will provide hospital staff with access to a centralised management system using the technology.

Leveraging centralised management system, the hospital staff can provide patients easy access to personalised welcome kits, visiting hours, education on their pre- and post-care, spiritual care, pain management details, hospital safety protocols, meal plans for the day.
GetWellNetwork can be integrated across the tech company’s healthcare-grade TV series, facilitating quick deployment and ease usage.
