Silicon Valley Unlocked provides a tour of the Google campus and other tech giants based at the famous Californian business district

A new immersive tour gives people the chance to go deep behind the scenes at Silicon Valley – but it will set you back £9,000

It’s home to some of the world’s biggest technology firms and now the greatest minds inside Silicon Valley can be tapped into for inspiration in a new tour.

A five-day innovation boot camp by Silicon Valley Unlocked offers businessmen and women from across the world the chance to go behind the scenes at the famous Californian business district.

Taking place from 10 to 15 June 2018, the first tour provides 12 guests with unprecedented access to the senior employees at Google, Apple, Uber, Tesla and AirBnB – masterminds who are rapidly changing the landscape for how business is done.

Jayson Frazer is the brainchild of Silicon Valley Unlocked, an Australian business with an office in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He has more than 25 years’ experience helping businesses to improve results, working alongside clients including Siemens, Samsung, BMW, Mini, Nissan, Bosch, Bostik and Virgin.

Working in corporate travel management, he quickly saw the need for tech learning programmes and used his business networks to create relationships with industry experts.

Mr Frazer said: “Our Silicon Valley Unlocked Innovation Boot Camp is a five-day immersion.

“Each of the 12 participants get to go inside Silicon Valley’s major corporations and smaller start-ups and see for themselves how the most successful organisations of all time innovate and disrupt the world around us.

“The boot camp is also an ‘agile’ tour. We will tweak the program based on the collective preferences of the final group of delegates, thereby taking their needs on board to curate the most relevant tour for all involved.”

The boot camp involves spending time at a start-up incubator that produced businesses including Instagram, Etsy and 99 Designs, a tour of Google, Apple, LinkedIn and AirBnB’s campuses, and Q&A sessions with senior executives from those companies.

How business leaders believe innovation can be executed in organisations

Ryan Scott, founder and CEO of HUHY.com.au, an Australian technology training company for elderly people, has booked to go on the next boot camp.

He said: “As a business leader I believe it’s vital to stay in touch with emerging trends that I can apply to my own business, or worse, disrupt it.

“With so much change and disruption emanating from Silicon Valley, I jumped at the chance to be part of the tour.

“To be able to learn from the tech giants first hand, plus see the latest innovations from new start-ups is an opportunity I didn’t want to miss.

“I’m keen to understand what Silicon Valley companies are doing differently and how, so I can apply that knowledge to my own business.”

The boot camp costs $12,900 (£9,200) per person. To book a place, visit www.siliconvalleyunlocked.com.
