Infosys and Saudi Arabian energy company Aramco have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on expediting the latter’s human resource (HR) technology.

The parties will cooperate in order to bring new insights into the HR and data analytics field, scale the usage of automation tools, and improve the employee experience by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

Infosys will also be integrating digital transformation tools and practices into the HR platform of Aramco and boost the employee experience, allowing them to engage more effectively.

In addition, Infosys aims to make use of AI to improve Aramco’s learning and development experience further and decrease the gap in skills. This is expected to aid Aramco in discovering talent and connecting individuals to the right opportunities within the group.

Aramco human resources SVP Faisal Al-Hajji said: “At Aramco, we are constantly looking to improve employee experience and make our company the best place to work. This collaboration will allow us to explore ways to further upgrade our focus on customer-centricity and transform our digital HR offerings.”

The partnership also plans to examine ways that automation can help streamline routine tasks in HR management using AI-powered learning. This will help reduce the amount of time and effort required for the delivery of training.

AI-powered analysis are aimed at giving insights, track return on investment, and assist Aramco with algorithmic decision-making to detect trends and determine appropriate ways to recruit.

Infosys EVP and services, utilities, resources and energy global head Ashiss Kumar Dash said: “Infosys’ programs for learning and development have been acknowledged and benchmarked globally and we take great pride in them. Through this collaboration, we intend to bring our digital expertise and tools to Aramco’s HR practice to deliver a world-class employee experience.

“By aiming to incorporate high-level AI and automation into their employee management model, we will attempt to help Aramco scale and enhance their talent model.”

Earlier this year, Infosys expanded its partnership with Microsoft to help expedite the cloud transformation journeys of enterprises.
